Local hero Steven Holcomb of the USA took his first victory since January 2014. Cheered on by a home crowd, the 2014 Olympic bronze medallist and his brakeman Carlo Valdes had a 0.11 second lead on German duo Nico Walther/Christian Poser, who came second. Third place in Lake Placid went to Korea?s Yunjong Won and Youngwoo Seo (0.12 seconds back).
